The primary goal of our group is to bridge communications and robotics using new machine-learning tools and traditional optimization techniques. The project was initially started under the Perfume project funded by the ERC grant received by Prof. David Gesbert. From then and Up until this day, we have demonstrated several applications of integrating robots (especially drones) and wireless communications. And we are moving towards using 5G on robots for different scenarios ranging from drone-base stations to sensing and localization.
